A show unit @hollandvillage_sg for @fareastorganization and @sekisuihouse, OHV was designed to showcase a home for a young family in the era of Covid-19. It includes family-friendly features to help foster closer ties among its occupants while giving each person the space they need to work, play and grow as an individual.
The layout was modified to include more open spaces for shared use to mitigate “cabin fever” from being home more often than not. A light, calming colour scheme creates a soothing atmosphere while the bold pop of colour on the ceiling brings a subtle playfulness, a point of visual interest to demarcate transition paths through the apartment.
This show unit features an open plan for gathering, dining and working, which allows parents to keep an eye on their young ones at all times for peace of mind. This idea of calmness extends into the bedrooms which is fully cladded with light oak panels for a touch of simple luxury while warm atmospherics lighting creates a cosy ambience that cradles the children.
Meanwhile, a secluded corner tucked into the back of the kitchen providing the adults their own calming space to for some private time alone. It takes a village to raise a child, and this is our vision of the perfect home to do so.
